Most awaited upcoming Renault cars in India 2020-2021 with price
In the first half of 2020, the car industries, even emerging markets like India, seem to be relatively dull as the coronavirus pandemic has affected most businesses’ operations. In the second half of the year, the Indian automotive market is warming up with the remarkable launches, including the upcoming line-up from Renault, the French automobile manufacturer. Let’s take a look at what we can expect in the three upcoming Renault cars in India 2020-2021.
1. Renault Kiger
Expected launch: November 2020
Expected price: Rs. 6-8 Lakh
First showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, the Renault Kiger caught the attention of the Indian automobile fans with its impressive camouflage-covered avatar. Overall, in the list of the upcoming Renault cars in India 2020, the Renault Kiger is the only car to be dimensionally based on the Triber. However, the Renault Kiger brings a bit more premium look with its sharp design for taillamps and high set rear bumper. Equipped with modern features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech and 4 airbags, the upcoming Renault Kiger will largely emphasize the comfortable experience and the safety quotient that it has to offer.

Besides, the Renault SUV is likely to bring in a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual along with an optional CVT automatic. While the exact launch timeline of the upcoming SUV in India is yet to be revealed, our best guess is that the Renault Kiger will hit the market in its production-ready form by November 2020. The car is expected to come between Rs. 6 and 8 Lakh.
2. Renault Zoe
Expected launch: February 2021
Expected price: Rs. 8 Lakh
Renault Zoe is also one of the long-awaited upcoming Renault cars in India in 2020. Unveiled as a small and compact electric car at the Auto Expo 2020, the Renault Zoe is equipped with the most innovative features as seen on best-selling cars in India. This includes a cruise control, automated high beam, auto climate conditioner along with a 9.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For safety concerns, the upcoming wireless charging electric car is likely to be the best of a lot since it will be equipped with 4 airbags, front and rear parking sensors and even ISOFIX mounts to secure child seats.

Besides, its fast charging speed is going to win the heart of Indian buyers. For a 50kW DC charger, the Renault Zoe can reach its 80% capacity from 0% in only 1 hour 10 minutes, allowing the drivers to achieve up to 400 km. However, it takes from 9 to 10 hours to fully charge the equipment in terms of a 7.4kW wall-box charger designed for home use. The Renault Zoe is expected to be priced at Rs. 8 Lakhs in February 2021.
3. Renault City K-ZE
Expected launch: June 2021
Expected price: Rs. 5-6 Lakh
The final candidate in the list of upcoming Renault cars in India 2020 is another electric car called Renault City K-ZE. Initially showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the new vehicle from the French carmaker is impressive with its identical exterior compared to the Kwid hatchback released in the Indian market last year. The front grille which houses the charging port is revised, low headlamps are now being integrated into the front bumper and the alloy wheels are all renewed. Most of its features, including 8-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports 4G WiFi connectivity, dimension, and boot capacity remain the same as the standard Kwid.

Performance-wise, the Renault City K-ZE can reach the top speed of 105 kmph. At a constant speed of 60 kmph, it is claimed to cover a range of 350 km on a single charge. Normally, it will take just half an hour to charge from 30 to 80 percent with a DC charging system and 4 hours to reach full battery capacity with AC fast charging. While the Renault has already been on sale in China in 2019, it is expected to arrive in the Indian market in June 2021. Its price will be at an estimate of Rs. 5-6 Lakhs.
Renault has gradually consolidated its brand awareness since its first debut in India in 2005. For now, the brand is among one of the top favorite carmakers when it comes to buying cars in India thanks to its reasonably priced and high-quality product lines. Along with the best-selling Duster and the Kwid, Renault is expected to dominate the market with the three upcoming Renault cars in India in 2020-2021.
