Maruti Swift 2021
Expected launch: February 15, 2021
Expected price: Rs 5.20 Lakh
The list of upcoming cars under 10 lakhs starts with the Maruti Swift 2021. Recently spied testing, the Maruti facelift seems to come with mild cosmetic tweaks. To be more specific, it will sport such more aggressive bumpers that go along with a brand-new honeycomb mesh grille accentuated with either a chrome or red strip. Apart from that, a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels will also be on offer. Inside, the new Swift is likely to carry over the roomy and feature-loaded cabin from the existing model. Besides, it could bring in a new 4.2-inch colored driver’s display, seat fabrics, upholstery options, paddle shifts, and a 360-degree avatar.
Under the hood, the upcoming Maruti hatchback is expected to employ a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol unit mated to either a 5-speed MT, CVT, or AMT gearbox. With this engine in place, the 2021 Swift is capable of developing 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Compared to the current model, the upcoming facelift will produce a higher 7PS of power. If launched, the new Maruti Swift 2021 will continue to compete with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Ford Figo, Ford Freestyle, and Renault Triber.
Toyota Yaris 2021

Expected price: Rs 9 lakh
Joining the queue in February is the new Yaris 2021. Visually, the Toyota sedan is likely to receive redesigned alloy wheels, tweaked tail lamps, and a revised bumper. Altogether, the upcoming Yaris will boast of a more upmarket look that resembles the premium Lexus in many ways. In terms of features, the Japanese automaker will add to its sedan a host of premium elements such as telematic-based connected tech along with cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, a multi-info display, and a rear sunshade seen in the previous model. Meanwhile, safety essentials will include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control.
Performance-wise, the new Toyota Yaris 2021 will retain the 1.5-litre petrol engine churning out 107PS of power and 140Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed MT or a CVT. If launched, the upcoming Toyota sedan will take on the likes of the VW Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
